Unique Feature: Pre-Meeting Briefings
Trix searches your memories for past interactions with meeting attendees and uses AI to generate actionable context before each meeting. No other calendar app offers this!

Key Features

Pre-Meeting Briefings

Before each meeting, Trix automatically searches your memory store for:

  • Past emails and conversations with attendees
  • Related notes and action items
  • Previous meeting outcomes
  • Relevant context from other memories

AI then synthesizes this into a concise briefing, so you walk into every meeting prepared with the right context.

Multi-Provider Unified View

Connect multiple calendar accounts and see all your events in one place:

unified-view.sh
# View upcoming Google Calendar events via CLI
trix google calendar list

# API: Get unified view across all providers
curl "https://api.trixdb.com/v1/integrations/calendars/upcoming?days=7" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Intelligent Notifications

Customize when and how you get reminded about upcoming events:

  • 15 minutes before - Last-minute prep
  • 1 hour before - Time to review and prepare
  • 1 day before - Plan your day around important meetings
  • Daily digest - Morning summary of today's events
notifications.sh
# Interactive setup wizard
trix notifications setup

# Enable specific reminder
trix notifications enable email 60 # 1 hour before

Multi-Calendar Support

Each provider supports multiple calendars. You can selectively enable which calendars to sync:

multi-calendar.sh
# List Google calendars via CLI
trix google calendar list

# API: List calendars from any connection
curl "https://api.trixdb.com/v1/integrations/connections/<connection-id>/calendars" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

# API: Enable/disable specific calendars
curl -X PATCH "https://api.trixdb.com/v1/integrations/connections/<connection-id>/calendars/<calendar-id>" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "sync_enabled": true }'

Security & Privacy

Token Encryption

All OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with account-specific keys:

  • Tokens never stored in plaintext
  • 256-bit encryption keys
  • Account isolation (tokens can't be used across accounts)
  • Automatic token refresh for expired credentials

OAuth 2.0 with PKCE

Google and Microsoft connections use OAuth 2.0 with Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE) to prevent authorization code interception attacks.

Apple App-Specific Passwords

Apple iCloud uses app-specific passwords, which can be revoked at any time from your Apple ID settings without affecting your main password.

Trix only requests the minimum scopes necessary: read-only access to calendar events. We never request write access unless you explicitly enable two-way sync.

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

Symptom: OAuth flow fails or connection can't be established

Solutions:

  • Ensure you're using the correct email address for the provider
  • Check that popups aren't blocked in your browser
  • For Microsoft: Verify tenant selection (common/consumers/custom)
  • For Apple: Generate a fresh app-specific password

Events Not Syncing

Symptom: Calendar events aren't showing up in Trix

Solutions:

  • Check connection status: trix integrations status <connection-id>
  • Verify calendar is enabled via the API or dashboard
  • Trigger manual sync: trix integrations sync <connection-id>
  • For Apple: Wait 15 minutes for polling interval

Notifications Not Arriving

Symptom: Not receiving email reminders for events

Solutions:

  • Verify preferences: trix notifications list
  • Check spam/junk folder for emails from [email protected]
  • Ensure notification is enabled: enabled: true
  • Check that events are in the future (no notifications for past events)
