Zapier Integration

Connect Trix to 6,000+ apps with Zapier triggers and actions.

Overview

The Trix Zapier app is not yet available on the Zapier marketplace. This integration is planned for a future release. In the meantime, you can use Zapier's built-in Webhooks by Zapier and API Request actions to connect to the Trix API directly.

The Trix Zapier integration lets you connect your memories to thousands of apps. Use triggers to start workflows when memories change, and actions to create or search memories from other apps.

Triggers
  • New Memory Created
  • Memory Updated
  • Memory Matched Search
  • New Cluster Detected
Actions
  • Create Memory
  • Update Memory
  • Search Memories
  • Find Memory by ID
  • Delete Memory

  1. Log in to your Zapier account

When prompted, enter your Trix API key:

  1. Go to your Trix dashboard

Instant vs Polling Triggers

Trigger TypeSpeedHow It Works
InstantReal-timeTrix sends webhook when event occurs
Polling1-15 minutesZapier checks Trix periodically

Instant triggers are available on Zapier paid plans. Free plans use polling triggers which check for new data every 15 minutes.

Troubleshooting

Trigger Not Firing

  1. Check that your Zap is turned on
  2. Verify your Trix connection is active
  3. For instant triggers, check webhook settings in Trix
  4. For polling triggers, wait up to 15 minutes for the next poll

Authentication Errors

  1. Go to My Apps in Zapier
  2. Find Trix and click Reconnect
  3. Enter a fresh API key from your Trix dashboard

Missing Fields

If expected fields are missing from trigger output, test with a sample memory that has all fields populated (content, tags, metadata).

Rate Limits

Trix allows 60 API requests per minute. If you're hitting limits, add delays between Zap steps or reduce trigger frequency.
