Overview
A memory can carry a location. Once it does, Trix can filter and cluster your memories by place — "notes from the Stockholm office", "everything within 10 km of home", "memories in Sweden" — alongside the usual semantic and structured search.
Location on a memory
Give a memory a latitude/longitude (for example when it comes from a mobile client or a calendar event with a venue). Trix derives country and region from the coordinates so you can filter by named place without geocoding yourself.
Personal places
Save the places you refer to often — home, the office, summer house — once, then reuse them. Personal places are managed under the memories API:
GET /v1/memories/personal-places # list your saved places
PUT /v1/memories/personal-places # add or update a place
DELETE /v1/memories/personal-places/:id # remove oneGeo clusters
Trix groups nearby memories into geo clusters so you can see where your knowledge concentrates:
GET /v1/memories/geo/clustersQuerying by location
The Query Language exposes geo predicates so location composes with every other filter:
country:SE # ISO country code
region:"California" # named region
near:"59.33,18.06,10" # within 10 km of lat,lng
bbox:"59.2,17.9,59.4,18.2" # inside a bounding box
near:"59.33,18.06,25" created>now-90d ~"client meeting"Geo predicates only match memories that have a location — see the query docs for details.
