v0.x Release Series
The v0.x series represents the initial public releases of Trix, establishing the core memory management system for AI applications.
v0.x releases may contain breaking changes between minor versions as we refine the API. Always check the changelog before upgrading. See the Migration Guide for upgrade instructions.
v0.8.0
Released August 13, 2026
Query Language, Browse & Knowledge Navigation
A query language for your memories and a visual way to navigate them — plus richer memory types, revision history, and annotations.
Highlights
- Memory Query Language (MQL) — a compact text syntax to filter, search, and sort memories, with an interactive Query page (syntax highlighting, autocomplete of your real spaces and tags, inline errors, and a plain-English read-out)
- MQL depth — boolean logic, numeric/date ranges, graph traversal (entity / topic / cluster / related), geo (near / bbox), full-text, similarity, and aggregation (count / group by / avg), compiled to safe parameterised SQL on the server
- Natural-language → MQL copilot and an instant rule-based query advisor
- Saved searches — save MQL queries and run them on a schedule with notifications
- Browse — a force-directed graph of your memories with semantic zoom and level-of-detail, plus Wiki, Todos, and Guides views
- Open Knowledge Format (OKF) export — preview and export a whole space as a portable bundle
- Rich memory-type registry and an Action super-type (guides & checklists), with a Now view for what needs attention
- Memory revision history with restore, and inline comments / annotations on memories
v0.7.0
Released July 13, 2026
Retrieval Quality, Chat Tiers & Spaces
A major retrieval-quality overhaul for sharper answers, smart model routing, and big steps forward for spaces, geo, and workflows.
Highlights
- Higher-accuracy retrieval — multi-hop recall, structure-aware query planning, multi-query RRF fusion, and Cohere cross-encoder reranking
- Chat model tiers — BALANCED / FASTEST / CHEAPEST / POWER / BEST presets plus a dynamic router that picks the best-fitting tier per message
- New model provider: xAI (Grok), with declarative price/latency bands and live provider-health-aware routing
- Geo memories — location filters, personal places, and geo clusters
- Spaces — permanent merge, reversible space links, cross-space relationships, and unlimited spaces on paid plans
- Workflows — configurable max concurrent runs, retry from a failed step, and an approvals inbox
- Text-to-speech endpoint with optional save-to-Data, plus an end-to-end backup pipeline
- Broad security hardening across authentication, access control, and SSRF protection
v0.6.0
Released April 1, 2026
Knowledge Tools, Batch Search & Smart Storage

Highlights
- Batch search — run semantic, fulltext, and aggregate searches in parallel with deduplication
- Knowledge summary — search and group memories by topic with structured synthesis
- Memory-to-note conversion — promote memories into structured notes organized by tag
- Store and organize — store a memory with enrichment, linking, and clustering in one call
- Setup diagnostics — verify API connectivity with optional round-trip test
- Natural language time filtering on notes and habits ("last week", "in January")
v0.5.0
