CLI: Account Management

View and manage your Trix account settings with the CLI.

Overview

The account command provides tools for managing your Trix account settings, including viewing account information, updating account details, and managing account members. Use these commands to configure your account and control access.

Aliases: acc

Account Information

View detailed information about your current account, including account ID, name, plan, number of spaces, and creation date.

# View account details
trix account info

# Output as JSON
trix account info -o json

# Output as YAML
trix account info -o yaml

Example output:

Account Information

  ID: <account-uuid>
  Name: My Organization
  Plan: Pro (pro)
  Spaces: 5
  Created: 2026-01-15 10:30:00

Update Account

Update your account settings. Currently supports updating the account name. You can either specify the new name with flags or use interactive mode.

# Update account name (interactive)
trix account update

# Update with flags
trix account update --name "My Organization"

# Skip confirmation
trix account update --name "New Name" --yes
The interactive mode will show your current account name pre-filled, making it easy to modify the existing value.

Delete Account

Permanently delete your Trix account. This action will soft-delete your account and all associated data, with a 30-day retention period before permanent deletion.

This action has serious consequences:

  • All spaces will be marked as deleted
  • All API keys will be deactivated
  • All memories will be marked as deleted
  • Data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion
# Interactive deletion (recommended)
trix account delete

# Skip account name confirmation (still requires password)
trix account delete --force

# Non-interactive mode (for scripts, requires password env var)
TRIX_DELETE_PASSWORD=yourpassword trix account delete --force --yes

The deletion process requires:

  1. Confirmation of the account name (unless --force is used)
  2. Your password for security verification
  3. Final confirmation (unless --yes is used)
In non-interactive mode (with --yes), the password must be provided via the TRIX_DELETE_PASSWORD environment variable.

Account Members

Manage team members and their access to your Trix account. Control who can access your spaces and memories.

# List all members
trix account members list

# Update member role
trix account members update <user-id> --role member
trix account members update <user-id> --role admin

# Transfer account ownership
trix account members transfer-ownership <user-id>

# Remove a member
trix account members remove <user-id>
trix account members remove <user-id> --yes # Skip confirmation
Inviting new members is handled from the web dashboard. The CLI currently manages existing members only.
